What's it about?
King Arthur and his glowing sword. There's also evil Jude Law, octopus-like witches, a sexy 'good' witch and a token Kung Fu master (excuse the sarcasm). It's a new take on the legendary king's rise to power - after having been brought up in a brothel, of all places.
Why watch it?
If you're a fan of Guy Ritchie's filmmaking style; if you enjoy action/adventure/fantasy based on Arthurian legends; if you aren't a history snob; if you like old stuff with a modern twist; did I mention not being a history snob?

Critics Reception
Independent actually summarized the critics' reception of the film by pointing out that it had 18% rating on Rotten Tomatoes at the time of the article's publication. The critics, despite recognizing Ritchie's modern touch and a bold take on the subject, disapproved of the execution and considered the overwhelming CGI out of place and not really working for the story.
