Critics Reception
From the reviews it seems like the critics had high expectations of the second Elizabeth - and were slightly disappointed by it. They pointed out Cate Blanchett's outstanding performance, but the film's focus on her frustration in love life (despite the queen's supposed later years and long established 'Virgin Queen' reputation), and Walter Raleigh in particular.
