If you're a fan of Keira Knightley; if you enjoy Joe Wright's period drama style; for an interesting and captivating use of cinematography; for stunning visuals and costumes; for a classical story that you might not want to read but want to know anyway; if you enjoy period pieces; if you want a meaningful spectacle.

Critics Reception

Visually, the film is universally admitted to be Joe Wright's most stunning work by the time it came out. When it comes to connecting with the audience and portraying deep feelings that force the heroine abandon all sense and societal rules... The critics don't seem certain that the actors, Aaron Taylor-Johnson in particular, connected with their audiences.
